Summer Camp

There will be five 1-week sessions. Each session can either be a half day from 9 AM to noon, or a full day from 9 AM to 4 PM. The cost for the half day program is $107 per week. The cost for the full day program is $157 per week. You can sign up for as many weeks as you like. There will not be any child care before or after the program. Each camper will receive a ball and a shirt.

The program will be taught by certified coaches from UK Soccer. The location of the camp is yet to be determined, but we are hoping that it will be at Greer Park once again. For the kids in the full day program, they will be required to bring a lunch. All kids will be required to wear shin guards and bring a drink.

The five weeks are:

To register your child, go to: http://www.aysosoccercamps.org/programs.html
and follow the instructions. On the page where you select either the half day or full day, you DO NOT need to purchase a ball. Each camper will receive a ball and a t-shirt. Each camper must bring a water bottle and must be wearing shinguards.

If you have any questions, please feel free to call Neil Diaz or send him an email. Contact information: (888) 857-6222 or email

If you would like to be placed on our mailing list for soccer camps, or have some questions, just send an email to RC.

Palo Alto AYSO 2008 Summer Soccerfest

Palo Alto AYSO will again be providing an opportunity for kids to play soccer this summer on Saturday mornings from 10-12 am. Soccerfest is intended to provide a safe environment for kids to come together and play soccer. No coaching, refereeing or spectators shouting from the sidelines. AYSO provides the fields, pinnies, cones, balls and Safe Haven certified monitors. The kids chose up teams for pick up games and provide the fun. There will be two games: one for U12 players and one for U14 and older. In addition, if there are an equal number of boys and girls at the younger age then we will have a boys-only and and a girls-only game.

There are 9 Soccerfest Saturdays from June 21 to August 16. You may attend any or all of the sessions that you want. Best of all this is all free of charge.

Who can play:

Soccerfest is open to all players (boys and girls) who are registered in the Fall 2007 season or Fall 2008 seasons in the U12 to U19 age groups. If your player will be playing at the U12 level or above this Fall then they are elgible.

What is required:

Bring a copy of your AYSO registration form signed by a parent to the first session you attend. You will not be permitted to play without a signed form.

You can print out the forms you need by doing the following:

  1. Go to http://www.ayso26.org/
  2. Scroll to the bottom of the page
  3. Log in using the name and password you have previously used to register your son or daughter.
  4. When the WebYouthSoccer page displays, click on "Form Package" in the left-hand column.
The browser will load Acrobat and display the forms.
  5. Print a copy, sign and bring to the field.

If this doesn't work, just come to the field with a pen and your health insurance information. We will have blank forms for you to fill out when you get there.

Shin guards are required.
Prompt pickup of you child at 12pm.
Cleats recommended.
Water and sun screen recommended.

Where and When:

Greer fields #1, #2.
Every Sat starting from June 21 to August 16 from 10am - 12pm.

How much does it cost ?

No fee.

Volunteers needed :

We are looking for coaches, referees and parents who would like to volunteer as field monitors for any of the Soccerfest sessions. Safe Haven training is required. If you don't have this training it's easy to get through an online training class that takes about 35 minutes. Please contact Ray Wong if you are interested.

For Questions on Soccerfest:

Contact Ray Wong.

Shoe Swap

There is usually a Shoe Swap event the week before the season starts. People donate last year's outgrown cleats and trade for a larger size. The event is organized by volunteers and held in somebody's driveway. Details for 2008 will be available closer to fall.
