  • Q: When do I find out my team?

A: Players are notified of their team assignments in late August. Once teams are assigned, coaches begin contacting their teams. In addition, your WebAYSO account will show your team information. Full team details come from the coach.

Q: What if I want to switch?

A: Wrong gender or wrong age group assignments will be corrected. Otherwise, team switching is not permitted. If you have been placed with the wrong gender or age group, contact the Division Commissioner for the age group of the assigned team.

    Q: Waiting List Process

A: Players who are registered but not currently assigned to a team are on a waiting list for their division. Usually there are some assigned players who drop out in the first couple weeks due to schedule conflicts and other reasons.

As places open up on teams, they are filled from the waiting list based on the order in which registrations were received, taking into account the balance needs of the team. The Division Commissioner checks with the parents to confirm interest and availability. Often the available practice field is distant from the one requested by the player on the waiting list.

We are sorry but it is not possible to let you know what place you are on the waiting list or what the liklihood is of being placed. In the past, nearly all players have been placed. The fields crunch due to schools construction now limits the number of practice sites and thus the number of teams, so adding a new team for late registrants is not an option.

Most drops happen by the second week of the season.

If a player cannot be assigned, the registration fees are refunded. The player is kept in the records and will receive mail-in registration materials for next year when those are sent to returning players in the spring.
