Q: Is it required? Is it required? What jobs are available? How do I get volunteers to help with my task?
A: It is expected. All the things that make Palo Alto AYSO a place for kids to play soccer are done by volunteers. There are no paid positions. All the coaches, referees, uniform sorters, field permit negotiators, line painters, and everything else, are some kid's mom or dad or big brother or sister or family friend. There are all kinds of ways to help make a good program for our kids. We need you, too.
A: All kinds of jobs are available, from simple one-time tasks to ongoing roles or special skills. The Volunteer Coordinator can help match up people willing to help with tasks needing them. Contact information for the Volunteer Coordinator is on the board page. In addition your coach will be looking for parents to help out with various team tasks and activities.
