Commissioner - Saul A. DC Training Took place 7/17 with 3 new DCs for both boys and girls. Action: Saul will e-mail the practice fields database for all DCs to have. B. Practice Fields Dick's done with the meetings Still negotiating 1-2 fields with other soccer clubs Working this week on Tournament 12 fields C. Field Painting People have signed up Action: Is Mitchell Park available for coach training? D. Coach Training Working with Dick to get sites that have both classroom and field availability E. Coach Meetings Two - U7/8/9 & U10 Up Purpose is for DCs to meet coaches, possibly distribute uniforms Action: Safe Haven - who can teach it? Action: Ed Cervantes a possible coach trainer? F. Registration 1,800 G. Tournament Planning Rob Neff H. Uniforms 10 colors available, Reversible jerseys are 2 jerseys stitched together, which are hotter and don't maintain their shape; socks & pennies not an option; 23 colors offered but too similar; stripes and designs not available 16 games for U9 & 12, software handles the scheduling so same colored-teams don't play one another I. Referee Uniforms Action: Steve to contact Keri Jackson, find out where purchases and confirm done. J. Balls & Cones Checking with people who may still have them from last year 35/150 teams did not return them, value about $3,500 Some keep for spring teams or following year Withholding photos problematic as some teams have parties before season ends Best option - ball drop-off times with larger and more timeframes &/or pick-up from fields on last day or turn in to DCs with evaluations Action: Were returns requested last year? Is there a spreadsheet listing who did or did not return them? K. PCA (Positive Coaching Alliance) Saul has the contract, is confirming the price Referees who are parents will receive training, won't worry about the rest Action: Saul working on timeframes and rooms. L. AYSO Online Courses Safe Haven and more available, link is on Reg 26 website Action: Steve to check if both referee and coach training available. Action: Training for new people is live, refresher course is online. M. VIP Program Saul meeting 7/27 to see if can do this season Action: Saul to check if need referees, possible source is Joan Redken(?) N. Newsletters Out 7/28 to registered parents in batches of 100 Will send to Board, Referees, Coaches and Parents to capture everyone Referees - will include a push for parents to be referees Also need coaches and DCs to help push for referees Mentoring helps get more refs, also field practice inclusion in training Action: Need coaches and DCs to help push for referees. 2. Fields - Marco A. Bills Marco will send to Saul until Margaret and Danielle are trained Checks require 2 signatures, AYSO suggests 5 signatories - they'll be Saul, Margaret, Danielle and the new RCA 3. Referee Administrator - Rob A. Golden Gate Camp 7 referees attended, good turnout B. Referee Handbook Will go to the printer soon Cost about $1,000 C. Annual E-mail to Referees Out before August 6 to welcome and announce training 4. Referee Training - Steve A. September is scheduled B. Intermediate in October Action: Steve to check dates for October. C. Storage Closet Inventory Own 3 storage spaces Storage closet will clean out in Fall keys - Scott, Steve and Keri have archives there - regional commissioner - 1-2 boxes Paint closet Marco uses also holds archive materials (need to be kept for 7 years) Action: Who has keys, and to which space? D. Kid Zone cards Have 500 to hand out, will order 1,500 more Will hand out at Coaches meetings Action: Order 1,500 more Kid Zone cards. 5. Webmaster - Cindy A. Postings Wants to put details and "Coming soon..." information up as soon as it is known. Action: Steve to send room numbers for Referee Training to Cindy.
