AYSO Region 26 Board Meeting
September 26, 2005

Attendees: Caroline Lambert, Dave Elward, Marcelo Clerici-Arias, Mick Jordan,
Cindy Jose, Saul Rotblatt, Rob Schreiber (Please confirm; I didn’t note this.)

Minutes of the August board meeting were approved.

We considered allowing children younger than Kinder league cutoff age to
register in order to play with their classmates.   The situation arises
because the school cutoff date for kindergarten registration is later that the
AYSO cutoff date.   We decided to allow all kindergarteners to play in the
K league, and more generally to allow children to play up at all levels so
that they may play with children in the same school year.

Mick reported that Dick Leask has agreed to coordinate the Spring League in
2006.  We will soon announce the spring league to coaches and parents.

Region 26 has received invitations to send three teams, u12B, u12G, and
u14B, to the 2006 AYSO National games, which will be in Chicago next summer.
Our spring league teams will presumably be the teams that go.

Dave reported that there will be a California state AYSO championship
tournament in April.

Saul reported that there were problems with the printer's work on registration
packets this year, and that next year we would simplify the packet and the
process.

Picture day took place.   It was early this year to allow for a long lag
between picture taking and picture distribution.

Coach clinics have taken place, with many newly trained coaches or coaches
whose skills have improved.
