So, please take a moment to go to our website at http://www.ayso26.org and click on the registration link. Remember, your child is not registered until payment is received. YOU DO NOT NEED TO PRINT THE REGISTRATION FORM. ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Checking Your Registration Status: Approximately one week after sending in your payment, go back to our website and login to check the status of your child. Make sure they are in the correct division. If your child still shows up as pre-registered, send me an email with your child's name and method of payment. ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Paying by PayPal or Check Registration fees can be paid by PayPal or by check. To pay via PayPal, go to: http://www.ayso26.org/ayso-reg-end.html and select the appropriate link. If paying by check, mail a check to: AYSO PO BOX 1493 Palo Alto CA 94302 Please include your child's name on the check. Keep in mind that no matter which way you pay, there is still a manual process on our end to update your child's status from pre-registered to registered, so please be patient. We try to update everyone's status within 48 hours of receiving payment. ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Summer Soccer Camps: There is still time to sign up for soccer summer camps run by MLS. For more information and to sign up, go to http://www.mlscamps.com. If you have any questions regarding the camps, please let me know. This is a great opportunity to meet experienced refs and coaches and find out what it takes to be a ref or coach. It's a lot easier than you think and a whole lot more fun. If you are planning on coming, send me an email at rc-07@ayso26.org to let me know. No reservations are necessary, so plan to show up even if you forget to rsvp. Cubberly Center is located at 4000 Middlefield Road. +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ U12 Coach Clinic: If you are planning on coaching a U12 team this season, there is going to be a U12 coach clinic on June 10th somewhere near Los Altos. If you are interested in going to this free clinic, just send an email to rca_07@ayso26.org. ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Summer Soccer Fest: Palo Alto AYSO will be providing an opportunity for kids to play soccer this summer on Saturday mornings from 10-12 am. Soccer fest is intended to provide a safe environment for kids to come together and play soccer. No coaching, refereeing or spectators shouting from the sidelines. AYSO provides the fields, pinnies, cones, balls and Safe Haven certified monitors. The kids chose up teams for pick up games and provide the fun. There are 9 Soccer fest Saturdays from June 23 to August 18. You may attend any or all of the sessions that you want. Best of all this is all free of charge. Who can play: Soccer fest is open to all players (boys and girls) who are registered in the Fall 2006 season or Fall 2007 seasons in the U12 to U19 age groups. What is required: Bring a copy of your registration form signed by a parent to the first session you attend. You will not be permitted to play without a signed form. To get a form login to www.ayso26.org and go to 'Form Package' and print out a copy of your registration form. Shin guards are required. Prompt pickup of you child at 12pm. Cleats recommended. Water and sun screen recommended. Where and When: Greer fields #1, #2. Every Sat starting from June 23 to August 18 from 10am - 12pm. How much does it cost ? No fee. Volunteers needed : We are looking for coaches, referees and parents who would like to volunteer as field monitors for any of the Soccer fest sessions. Safe Haven training is required. For General Questions on Soccer fest or AYSO registration: Contact Ray Wong at boyscom-07@ayso26.org. ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Youth Coaching If you know someone in high school who loves to coach soccer, then AYSO may be the place for them. We will pair up youth coaches with adult coaches. To become a youth coach, you first need to fill out the coach form which can be found by going to our website at http://www.ayso26.org, click on the Coach link on the left side of the page, then click on Young Coaches and finally on To Sign up, click here link. Or to go straight to the form page, go to http://www.ayso26.org/coach/coach_signup_form.html ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Volunteering: We currently have two board positions that have opened up: secretary and safety director. If you are interested in being part of the board and want more information on either of these two positions, please let me know. ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ VIP Program The VIP program will be starting up soon. Last year was our inaugural season and it was a great success. This year we are looking forward to an even better season. Games will be played on Sundays at Hoover Park in the afternoon. The season will start just after Labor day weekend. If you are interested in volunteering to help out, please let mew know. If you want more information about the program, just send me an email. Chuck Malone heads the program and will get back to you with the information you need. +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ B11 and B12 Potentially Combining Last year we ended up combining B11 and B12 into the B12 division. This was done because there wasn't enough kids in each division to form enough teams. So, we ended up combining it. Currently we have them separate, but the current numbers point to combining the two divisions again. If your child is registered in B11, you will get an email if we end up removing the B11 division. +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Unsubscribe To unsubscribe from this newsletter, just reply to this email with unsubscribe as the subject. +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Miscellaneous Don't forget China Versus USA on June 2nd at 5 PM.
