Newsletter 06/04/09 Parents: The end of the school year is quickly approaching and with it is the deadline to register for fall soccer. If you have not yet registered, please do so as soon as possible. The deadline is June 19th and we must receive payment before then in order for your child to be placed on a team. Once you have completed the registration process, please print out two copies of the waiver form, sign them and send them to: AYSO | Palo Alto 626 Wildwood Lane Palo Alto CA 94303 The fee for the non-kinder league is $105. For the kinder league it is $50. If you have already registered, look for emails from your division commissioner welcoming you to their division. I my next newsletter, I will explain the team formation process, the differences between the different divisions and what you as a parent can do to help. In order to conform your childfs registration, please go to our web-site at www.ayso26.org and log in. The next screen will then show you the registration status of your child and which division they are in. It is your responsibility to ensure that your child is placed in the correct division. The system will automatically assign the division based on the childfs birth date. Most kids prefer to play at the grade level and depending on when their birthday is, they may end up one division too low or too high. If this is the case, just email our registrar at registrar_09 @ ayso26.org and let know. In most cases, U7 is for kids entering first grade, U8 for kids entering second grade, U9 for kids entering third grade, U10 for kids entering fourth grade, U12 for kids entering fifth and sixth grades, etcc If your kids cannot get enough soccer, we have two programs for them this summer. One is called Summer Soccerfest and takes place on Saturdays at Greer Park. There are age restrictions, so check out the details on our web-site. For more information on SoccerFest, please contact Ray Wong at girlscom_09 @ ayso26.org. We also have summer camps. There are ten one week sessions, and each session can be a half day or full day. We have two camp vendors: UK Soccer and Challenger. For more information, please go to our web-site. Saul Rotblatt Regional Commissioner
