AYSO Newsletter, July 1 2009

posted Mar 25, 2010, 4:24 PM by AYSO26 Regional Commissioner   [ updated Mar 25, 2010, 4:25 PM ]
Early registration has now ended and we have over 1800 kids in the program. Team formation is underway and should be completed within the next few weeks.
With the exception of the kinder league, the first game will be on the first weekend after Labor Day. Divisions U7 through U14 play their games on Saturdays, while U16 and U19 play their games on Sundays.
We are still looking for more players for our U19 boys and girls teams. If your son or daughter is on a U19 team, have them ask their friends if they are interested in joining.
We are currently looking for a treasurer and an assistant treasurer. If you are interested in one of these positions, please let me know. I will be happy to provide more details on what the position entails.
We have finalized the referee training schedule. If you are a referee or are thinking about being one, check out the classes we offer on our web-site. Go to and click on the link for 2009 Clinic Schedule.
We are still working on the coach training clinics and I will let you know when they are once we have finalized the classes.
We are still looking for coaches and referees. If you have not signed up yet to be a coach or referee it is not too late. Just send me an email and we will get the process rolling. The more coaches we have, the more teams we can form and the more kids can play soccer.
Our VIP program, which is for kids with special needs is looking for high school age kids to help out on Sundays in the fall. If your son or daughter can help out or you would like more information let me know.
In my next newsletter, I will give you more information on the divisions and what to expect in the fall. In the mean time, enjoy your summer.
