Coach Delisting

posted Oct 1, 2012, 8:40 AM by AYSO26 Regional Commissioner
On Monday we will be reviewing coach certification status.  We will go division by division in the morning.  Any coach not meeting minimum certification requirements nor provided a waiver, will be delisted.  We will work on a case-by-case basis to try to save the team from which coaches are delisted.

Why do this?  Coaching is a heavy burden of your time.  And we do all that is feasible to support you and help you be successful.  That starts with training you.  And training you is gauged using certification as a baseline.  Of course we do much more to support you and your team, but it starts with certification.  If you can't get the training and certification, then we need to desist with you.

Certification is not hard
1) registration status as a volunteer
2) coach course at the division you are coaching
3) online safe haven
4) online concussion awareness

You can check your status at, which is updated every few days.  Also, if you do not meet certification levels you will be receiving a notification daily until Monday.  Read that notice carefully.  It is accurate and tells you what you need to do.

If you need to send in signed forms it is too late to mail them.  Instead, drop them off into the plastic drawer under the table in the front yard at 1102 Forest Ave.

You can apply for a waiver at

There is a U6 Coach clinic on Saturday and a U8 Coach clinic on Sunday, this weekend at PALY.  Details on our home page calendar widget.  If you plan to attend, email me now.

Regards, And trusting that you are certified, or will get certified this weekend.
