Early Registration Closes

Early registration for the 2010  fall season closes today, Friday, June 11.  Registration this year is similar to the numbers from past years.  Indications are that we will have slightly more participants this year.

Summer Programs
Everyone that registered for the Fall 2009 or Fall 2010 programs are eligible to register in our Soccerfest and Summer Camps.  Soccerfest is a series of Saturday pick-up games starting June 19, and are free to AYSO players.  You can find out more about each of the programs at http://www.ayso26.org/soccer-programs.

What Team are We On?
To easily login to see your kids game assignments and schedules, or your referee assignments, etc, use http://login.ayso26.org.  It might be a good idea to bookmark that page.  NOTE:  Players are not yet assigned to teams.  When they are it will be in this newsletter.

National Games
We have two teams traveling to the National Games.  The games start on July 4th.  The teams are practicing hard and preparing for the competition.  You can follow their progress here,  http://www.ayso26.org/soccer-programs/ayso-national-games.

Referee and Coach Training - Golden Gate Camp
We have a great opportunity for coaches and referees to advance their training and certification.  Golden Gate Camp is being held July 16-18 in Belmont.  Find out more here http://section2.org/goldenga.htm.  Coordinate your sign-up with the Regional Referee Administrator or Regional Coach Administrator to ensure the region pays your fees.

Ad Hoc Volunteering
We sometimes get stuck between a rock and hard place when a volunteer unexpectedly has to travel or gets sick.  But the programs and their demands must go on.  Or maybe you can't volunteer on a regular basis but would like the opportunity to volunteer occasionally for some last minute needs.  Either way we have a group list where we coordinate such events.  If you would like to know when we have a need and you might be able to help, please send an email to the volunteer-coord@ayso26.org and get added to the list.  And thank you for volunteering.

Key Man Volunteers Needed
We have several open slots to fill in our volunteer lineup to be able to form the fall program.  These positions are division commissioners.  Division commissioners are responsible for appointing the coaches and assigning the players to the teams. We need division commissioners in the following divisions; Boys U12, Boys U6 (kinder), Chief Boys Commissioner (coordinates the boys commissioners),  Girls U6 (kinder), Girls U7 and Girls U9.  Generally a parent from the division acts as the commissioner for that division.  Please email the volunteer-coordinator@ayso26.org.
