The Fall Program is an instructional and fun program. It is our largest, with over 2000 kids. This program is for 4 to 18 year olds, and runs from end of August to Thanksgiving. In this program all registered kids are accepted, formed into balanced teams, and will play at least 75% of every game. All training and games are on Palo Alto fields for U5 to U14 divisions, and their games are on Saturdays. U16 and U19 games are in Palo Alto and adjacent cities, and are played on Sundays. Training sessions are twice a week after school for all but U5 and U6, which do not have training sessions, only a game day on Saturday afternoon.
Fall registration opens in April. Early registration closes in mid-June. Early registrants enjoy a lower fee and have priority to be placed on a team. Registering afterward is a higher fee, and registrants are placed on a wait-list. Usually, we are able to accommodate all wait-listed players. But not always.

disabilities make it difficult to successfully participate on mainstream teams. This Program runs during the fall.
Soccerfest is great fun, a program of semi-organized pick-up games. Kids registered in the AYSO Instructional Programs, U8 to U19 divisions, from the previous year, or for this year, can just show up and play.
The games are organized on Saturdays during the summer. The fields are managed and safe in accordance with AYSO programs. The on-site AYSO volunteers help to get the teams organized and provide oversight. There is no formal coaching nor officiating at Soccerfest.
Winter Camps
Skill improvement, with week-long, 1/2 day and full day soccer instruction by professional coaches. Palo Alto AYSO Coach Mentors run sessions that are fun and instructional. Players are instructed in the fundamental skills and in team skills, with lots of individual attention. The program runs for the two weeks of winter break and sign-up is on a weekly basis.
| Our most competitive program, players from our Fall Program in U10 through U19 Divisions may try-out to participate in the Palo Alto Spring Select (PASS). The teams in this program train more rigorously and compete with teams from other AYSO regions and club teams. These teams travel around the greater Bay Area to tournaments, culminating in the Davis World Cup on Memorial Weekend. Tryouts for advanced players are in late October, and training and scrimmages start in January.
