Please send an email to rc@ayso26.org indicating that you have completed Safe Haven. The Regional Commissioner will follow up with you. Job Description The CVPA job is not one to learn overnight. It takes more time to learn, than to actually do. Gradually familiarize yourself with the materials at http://www.ayso.org/region_boards/cvpa.aspx. During registration you will be supervising several helpers to process incoming registration forms for Players and Volunteers. The helpers are following the detailed procedures outlined here. You need to be intimately familiar with this process so that you can supervise and assist the helpers when they need direction. Your Regional Commissioner (RC) will demonstrate and train you. Attached is a document describing the CVPA function. Again, it is a lot to absorb in one sitting. A good approach is to skim it, and then re-read it later. Note that in our Region, Palo Alto AYSO, the role of the CVPA has been very quiet, with little need to enforce any policies. But the occasion may arise when the CVPA is needed for such action. Most of the job is to supervise the helpers during registration. eMail Account Your CVPA email account is to be used for all your CVPA communications. Your account is wired into other functions, including calendaring and groups. Your login is cvpa@ayso26.org. Read the eMail section on the Region 26 Online Administrative Facilities page to learn more about using those facilities. Quarterly Certification Reports At the beginning of each calendar quarter there are four certification reports to generate from eAYSO. The first time you do this you create a named report, and each time thereafter just click on the name of the report and it will generate without further ado. For each of the four reports, first time:
| Training A CVPA webinar is offered periodically. You can see the schedule and sign up here, http://www.ayso.org/training/webinars/cvpa.aspx. If you prefer a classroom environment you can check the Regional Clinic Calendar for classes. They are not very often, usually only in July. Weekly Volunteer Report During Registration During registration the Volunteer Coordinator is ensuring the volunteers move through the process and get signed up in eAYSO, and follow through with Safe Haven. Each week during registration you need to generate two reports from eAYSO and email them to the Volunteer Coordinator, volunteer_coord@ayso26.org. The first time you do this you can save the report and next time just click the report name and it will update.
